Band 5 Staff Nurse – Acute Oncology & Palliative Care

About the role

The Royal Marsden is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Horder Ward, a 12‑bed acute oncology unit that also provides complex palliative care. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to patients undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and those requiring symptom control and psychological support.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence‑based nursing care in collaboration with the shift coordinator.
• Provide comprehensive care for acute oncology patients and those with complex palliative needs.
• Develop an understanding of cancer treatment modalities and patient needs.
• Assist in managing shift responsibilities under the guidance of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.

Required profile
