About the role

Join our Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) team as a Band 6 School Nurse on a fixed‑term contract. You will work within schools in Surrey, delivering high‑quality nursing care to improve the health and wellbeing of children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the quality and standards of the school nursing service for the local school‑aged population.
• Provide targeted interventions to reduce health inequalities and refer pupils to specialist services when needed.
• Carry out safeguarding duties and support the school immunisation programme.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the Strive for Better network.

Required profile

• Qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) with experience in school nursing.
• Compassionate, dedicated and able to work independently within a school setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and public health initiatives.
