About the role

This casual, part‑time role offers flexible working as a Bank Chef, allowing you to deliver hotel‑restaurant standards without split shifts and long weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Prepare fresh produce to deliver high‑quality, wholesome dishes.
• Create a warm, efficient and fun environment for residents and staff.
• Work within budget and complete regular audits.
• Manage stock control and ensure compliance with HACCP.
• Assist in leading and motivating the kitchen team.

Required profile

• Personable, warm approach with genuine interest in residents’ wellbeing.
• City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ qualification or equivalent.
• Experience leading and inspiring a team.
• Good understanding of nutrition and fresh seasonal food.
• Ability to create a welcoming environment within the home.
• Good understanding of HACCP.
