Bank Clinical Physiologist – Neurophysiology

The Bank Clinical Physiologist – Neurophysiology will work on a shift basis, Monday to Friday, 8 am‑6 pm, delivering neurophysiological investigations for adult patients across multiple specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, perform and provisionally report a range of complex diagnostic neurophysiological investigations on in‑patients and out‑patients.
• Assist the Consultant Neurophysiologist with EMG and nerve conduction studies as required.
• Modify tests according to patient condition and record using both standard and non‑standard electrode placements.
• Contribute to quality assurance and the smooth day‑to‑day running of the neurophysiology service.

Required profile

• Experience as an Associate Clinical Physiologist or Basic Technologist in Neurophysiology.
• Registration with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) – desirable.
• Relevant qualification such as BTEC HNC/D in MPPM, BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent.
• Ability to speak and write English fluently.
