Bank Housekeeping Cleaning Supervisor – Hospital

About the role

The Bank Housekeeping Cleaning Supervisor will join Cleveland Clinic London’s Environmental Services team on a flexible bank basis. Working across multiple hospital sites in Central London, you will oversee both technical and administrative aspects of the cleaning department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high‑quality patient‑focused service.

Key responsibilities

• Guide cleaning teams to meet CQC, Joint Commission and other accreditation requirements.
• Recruit, monitor and retain staff, managing rotas and cross‑coverage for all shifts.
• Communicate regularly with departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Arrange and deliver training to uphold the highest cleaning standards.
• Implement, monitor and improve health and safety practices.
• Inspect and audit assigned areas to verify cleaning quality and maintenance.
• Manage third‑party suppliers such as maintenance, pest control and laundry services.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Previous experience as a work leader, team leader or supervisor, preferably in environmental services or housekeeping.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple systems, devices and applications.
