Bank Practice Nurse – Primary Care

About the role

We are seeking a Bank Practice Nurse to join our Primary Care team at the Herstmonceux Integrative Health Centre. This flexible, bank‑based position allows you to deliver a wide range of nursing services within a multidisciplinary environment, supporting the health of the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence‑based nursing care across multiple clinics, including acute, routine and preventative services.
• Manage long‑term conditions such as asthma, COPD and diabetes through reviews, monitoring and patient education.
• Conduct NHS Health Checks, cervical screening, smoking cessation support and health promotion activities.
• Administer adult and childhood immunisations, deliver travel health advice and manage vaccines according to national guidelines.
• Perform wound assessment and management, phlebotomy, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry and other clinical procedures while maintaining infection control standards.
• Collaborate with GPs, healthcare assistants and other team members to ensure coordinated, person‑centred care and appropriate referrals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, support audit activities and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with experience in primary or community care.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused care.
