Banking & Finance Paralegal – £26k-£29k, Hybrid

About the role

Join a respected regional law firm as a Banking & Finance Paralegal, supporting high‑quality lender and borrower transactions across London and the South East. You will work closely with experienced solicitors and partners, gaining exposure to a diverse client base and a clear pathway for progression.

Key responsibilities

• Support solicitors and partners on banking and finance transactions.
• Assist with loan agreements, security documents and related transaction paperwork.
• Conduct legal research on banking, finance and regulatory matters.
• Prepare and review transaction bibles, completion documents and condition precedent requirements.
• Draft correspondence, legal documents and client reports.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, borrowers and third‑party advisers.
• Assist with due‑diligence exercises and document reviews.
• Maintain transaction checklists, monitor key deadlines and support completion processes.
• Manage document execution, filing and matter administration.

Required profile

• Law degree, LPC or SQE qualification preferred.
• Previous paralegal experience in banking & finance, corporate, commercial property or commercial law is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Excellent legal research and drafting capabilities.
• Commercial awareness and interest in banking and finance law.
• Professional, client‑focused approach with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
