Behaviour Intervention Specialist

About the role

Are you experienced with special needs and seeking a new opportunity within SEMH? We are working with a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit in Manchester to recruit a calm and resilient Behaviour Intervention Specialist to join their team. The unit supports pupils aged 11‑18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and you will be supporting pupils in the community, promoting engagement and development.

Key responsibilities

• Work one‑to‑one with pupils, promoting both academic and emotional development.
• Regularly communicate with parents and the senior leadership team.
• Take attendance in the mornings and report to the senior leadership team.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Comfortable delivering and preparing one‑to‑one lessons.
• Team Teach training is highly desired.

Required skills

• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the online update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
