About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our special‑needs school in Slough. You will work closely with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them thrive academically and personally.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support, adapting lessons and materials to individual needs.
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging, SEMH‑focused lessons.
- Implement proven behaviour management strategies and promote social skill development.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to monitor progress and celebrate achievements.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for working with children with SEMH needs.
- Empathy, patience and strong communication abilities.
- Previous experience in a special‑needs setting is advantageous.
- Team‑player who thrives in a supportive, dynamic environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Required skills
- Experience adapting educational materials for diverse learners.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
