Behaviour Mentor – Support for SEN Students

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work with students aged 11‑16 who have special educational needs (SEN). The role is based in Slough and runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, providing one‑to‑one support in schools, community settings and the child’s home.
Key responsibilities
- Build trust and consistency with an assigned student, establishing positive routines.
- Support emotional regulation and manage challenging behaviours.
- Encourage engagement in education and personal development activities.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor across various environments.
Required profile
- Patient, resilient and proactive attitude.
- Passionate about helping young people with SEN.
- Comfortable working in schools, youth centres, libraries and homes.
- Committed to making a long‑term impact.
Required skills
- Experience in behaviour management and emotional regulation techniques.
- Ability to develop individualized support plans.
