Branch Manager – Kitchens & Joinery

About the role

Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery, part of the Travis Perkins group since 2006, is recruiting a Branch Manager for its Rickmansworth branch. The position is a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave for 12 months, with the intended start in December 2026 but earlier start possible for a smooth handover. The role covers Monday to Friday and half Saturdays (8-12pm), and offers competitive pay plus bonus and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise efficiency and success across all daily branch operations, acting as an expert in the branch.
• Coach and manage the team to meet targets through proactive selling and excellent service standards.
• Build strong customer relationships, support the team in serving customers, and upsell to maximise sales.
• Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.
• Lead all aspects of the branch, from overseeing CAD designs to supporting the team with warehouse deliveries.
• Work closely with local Travis Perkins branches, Hire and Managed Services to promote collaboration and customer service.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to support a team to achieve and exceed sales and profit targets, backed by strong delivery against role-specific KPIs.
• Detail-oriented, organised and determined, with a focus on planning, execution and delegation.
• Great communication skills and an approachable, positive personality.
• Customer-facing confidence, including coaching the team on financial conversations and asking for the sale.
• No industry experience needed: transferable skills and a passion for leading teams and driving profitable sales are enough.
