Breakfast Club Assistant (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role
We are looking for a warm, caring and enthusiastic individual to join our Breakfast Club at Alderbury and West Grimstead CofE Primary School. This part‑time, fixed‑term position runs from September 2026 until 31 August 2027, working 6.25 hours per week (Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am‑8:45 am).
Key responsibilities
- Provide a safe, welcoming environment for children arriving before school.
- Supervise breakfast routines and ensure children are well‑fed and settled.
- Support early learning and development through informal activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the breakfast area.
- Communicate any concerns or incidents to senior staff promptly.
Required profile
- Warm, caring and enthusiastic attitude towards children.
- Experience in a similar breakfast club or childcare role.
- Passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Reliability and ability to work the set morning hours.
Required skills
- Supervision of young children.
- Basic health and safety awareness.
- Effective communication with children and staff.
