Broadcast Sound Operator – Live Sports

About the role

The Broadcast Sound Operator delivers high‑quality audio for live sports broadcasts at Warner Bros. Discovery. Working in state‑of‑the‑art studios, control rooms and commentary booths across Chiswick and Stockley Park, you will support the full audio production chain for events shown worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Activate, adjust, monitor and record multiple sound sources during live events.
• Collaborate with local and international production teams to ensure audio guidelines and up‑to‑date stings and beds.
• Log, tag and document audio assets for future edit, clearances and rights agreements.
• Route, mix and monitor audio streams, ensuring high‑quality output.
• Set up and test equipment ahead of productions, checking levels and content.
• Work closely with live broadcasting teams to guarantee seamless event delivery.
• Serve as point of contact for upcoming productions and on‑air days.
• Support upgrades and testing of audio and corporate systems.
• Provide a daily sound‑operator report for each production.

Required profile

• Passion for audio and live sport broadcasting.
• Willingness to work onsite shift patterns, 365 days a year.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse production teams.
