Building Surveyor – Insurance Claims (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Building Surveyor to join a leading UK loss adjusting firm. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while supporting a diverse portfolio of property loss investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations in collaboration with loss adjusters and relevant parties.
• Scope reinstatement works and coordinate with contractors.
• Project‑manage reinstatement projects, liaising with all stakeholders.
• Manage a mixed portfolio of general perils including fire, flood, water escape, impact and more.
• Participate in traditional building surveying professional services for high‑net‑worth and major loss cases.

Required profile

• Proven background in building surveying principles and insurance claims handling.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Self‑motivated with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Technical competence with high‑quality reporting and scope preparation.
• Chartered status (MRICS) or a related construction qualification is desirable.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
