Building Surveyor – Property Management (Temp)

About the role

As a Building Surveyor based in Stockport, you will manage property surveys and ensure that buildings are maintained to a high standard. Your work will directly support a not‑for‑profit organisation by keeping its properties safe, operational, and compliant with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct property surveys to assess condition and maintenance needs.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and standards.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors during maintenance or refurbishment projects.
• Provide technical advice to stakeholders regarding property issues.
• Monitor budgets and timelines for assigned projects.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, and works carried out.
• Respond promptly to urgent property issues or maintenance requests.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications in building surveying or a related field.
• Experience in conducting property surveys and preparing reports.
• Knowledge of building regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Clear and professional communication skills.

• Hourly pay between £31.00 and £35.00, dependent on experience.
