About the role
As a Building Surveyor based in Stockport, you will manage property surveys and ensure that buildings are maintained to a high standard. Your work will directly support a not‑for‑profit organisation by keeping its properties safe, operational, and compliant with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct property surveys to assess condition and maintenance needs.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors during maintenance or refurbishment projects.
- Provide technical advice to stakeholders regarding property issues.
- Monitor budgets and timelines for assigned projects.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, and works carried out.
- Respond promptly to urgent property issues or maintenance requests.
Required profile
- Relevant qualifications in building surveying or a related field.
- Experience in conducting property surveys and preparing reports.
- Knowledge of building regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Clear and professional communication skills.

What we offer
- Hourly pay between £31.00 and £35.00, dependent on experience.
- Temporary (fixed‑term) contract offering flexibility and varied work.
