Building Surveyor – Subsidence Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor with a focus on subsidence to join our team on a home‑based basis covering London. You will work on domestic and commercial insurance claims, providing expert technical assessments and driving resolutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional subsidence and building surveying services for insurance claims.
• Visit damaged properties, assess structural issues and diagnose causes.
• Determine technical and insurance requirements needed to reinstate buildings.
• Collaborate with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, local authorities and contractors.
• Maintain accurate records in the claims management system.
• Support colleagues across the UK and contribute to shared expertise.

Required profile

• Prior experience in subsidence investigations or loss adjusting.
• Professional qualifications such as MRICS, MCIOB or C.BuildE (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a portfolio independently and meet service level agreements.
