Business Analyst – Finance Subledger ERP Transformation

About the role

Insight Global is partnering with a Tier 1 bank to deliver a next‑generation accounting sub‑ledger for Wealth Management across the UK and Canada. The Business Analyst will act as the bridge between Finance and Technology, translating business needs into actionable specifications for the ERP delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, collate and structure ERP requirements across GL, Payments, Reconciliation and Reporting workstreams.
• Facilitate workshops and sign‑off sessions with Finance SMEs, producing clear functional and technical specifications.
• Maintain requirements traceability and produce BRDs, user stories, process flows and functional documentation.
• Validate trading and investment data using Excel and SQL, support test scenario creation, UAT execution and defect triage.
• Assist data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, reconciliation and validation.
• Communicate design decisions, risks and status to both Finance and IT stakeholders.
• Prepare end‑user documentation, training materials and change‑readiness artefacts.

Required profile

• Proven experience analysing finance products (loans, deposits, derivatives, securities, investments, mortgages, insurance) to define accounting events.
• Expertise in event‑based accounting rules such as accruals, impairments, fair‑value adjustments and revenue recognition.
• Hands‑on experience validating end‑to‑end accounting flows from sub‑ledger to General Ledger.
• Prior ERP configuration experience (SAP FPSL, Oracle AHCS or similar).
• Ability to work with technical teams using ABAP, CDS and BTP (or Oracle equivalents).
