Business & Computer Science Teacher – Wigan (Sept 2026)

About the role

This full‑time teaching role starts in September 2026 at a secondary school in the Wigan area. The appointment runs until at least Christmas 2026 and may be extended for the right candidate. You will deliver Business Studies and Computer Science to Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop commercial awareness, digital literacy and problem‑solving abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies and Computer Science for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative projects.
• Support the school’s inclusive ethos and promote student confidence and resilience.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Business Studies and/or Computer Science in a UK secondary school.
• Ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong classroom management and a commitment to high academic outcomes for all learners.

Required skills

• Subject knowledge in Business Studies.
• Subject knowledge in Computer Science.
