Business Development Coordinator

About the role

The Business Development Coordinator will act as the first point of contact for new and existing customers of a well‑established contract furniture manufacturer. Working Monday‑Thursday 8:30‑4:30 and Friday 8:30‑1:30, you will generate leads, qualify opportunities and book appointments for the external sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target new business opportunities within the B2B furniture market.
• Research prospective customers and make outbound calls.
• Respond to enquiries, ask open‑ended questions and understand client requirements.
• Book and confirm appointments for the external Business Development team.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system.
• Work towards appointment‑booking targets and support the sales team on visits and exhibitions.

Required profile

• Confident, outgoing and self‑motivated with a passion for speaking to people.
• Previous experience in customer service, sales, business development or lead generation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, positive and resilient attitude with a focus on achieving targets.
• Good organisational and IT skills.

Required skills

• Experience using a CRM system.
