Business Development Executive

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join a reputable technology distributor in Avonmouth. The role is office‑based and focuses on consultative, solutions‑focused selling of technology products. You will build relationships, uncover client challenges and deliver tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to new and existing customers within the assigned market.
• Lead fact‑finding conversations to identify client needs and challenges.
• Generate new business and re‑engage inactive or lapsed accounts.
• Collaborate with senior BDMs and technical teams to design tailored technology solutions.
• Build and manage a personal client portfolio over time.
• Record activity and opportunities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of sales experience, preferably in a consultative environment.
• Confidence in making outbound calls and engaging new clients.
• Curious, consultative mindset with strong questioning skills.
• Ability to build credibility and hold meaningful client conversations.
• Motivation to work towards targets and earn commission.
• Driving licence (highly recommended due to location).

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics CRM (experience advantageous).

What we offer

• Salary £28,000–£30,000 per year plus uncapped commission (10% of profit after ramp‑up).
• Early finish on Fridays and a regular 8:30‑5:00 schedule Monday‑Thursday.
