Business Development Manager – Central Government

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth within UK Central Government accounts. The role is permanent, remote‑first, with regular travel to client sites, and offers a competitive salary plus OTE.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across departments such as HMRC, DWP, FCDO, DEFRA and MoJ.
• Develop and execute strategic sales and pursuit plans for high‑value contracts.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline through networking, outreach and industry engagement.
• Identify strategic partnerships to broaden market presence and service offerings.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to surface emerging opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support targeted campaigns and client engagement.

Required profile

• Proven track record selling digital services and solutions to UK Central Government.
• Strong understanding of public‑sector commercial frameworks, programmes and projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to build long‑term client relationships and generate repeat business.

Required skills

• Knowledge of government digital standards, delivery approaches and transformation programmes.
• Familiarity with cloud and AI solution offerings.

• Salary £100,000‑£110,000 per year plus 20 % OTE.
