Business Development Manager – Energy & Infrastructure

About the role

EnerMech, a specialist service company delivering safe, integrated solutions for complex energy projects, is expanding its team with a permanent Business Development Manager. The role reports to the Business Development Director and supports the Infrastructure and Industrial business line for the Europe region. It is open to a remote arrangement, with the successful candidate based anywhere in the UK and some travel depending on workload.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage customers to win new business aligned with corporate strategy, business plans and the Business Forecasting Tools
• Build a reliable pipeline of project opportunities across the full sales cycle: customer mapping, lead generation, qualification, pursuit, capture, account management and forecasting
• Take part in opportunity qualification, win strategies and commercial discussions, and lead bids
• Represent EnerMech at industry events and in external marketing campaigns
• Cross-sell by leveraging EnerMech's technical or geographic capabilities
• Take part in the win strategy for bids from identification through to award and beyond

Required profile

• Excellent understanding of the industrial services and engineering industry, with experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors
• Demonstrable experience developing and implementing target customer pursuit and key account plans
• Preferred: at least 5 years of experience in energy services business development
• Entrepreneurial mindset, able to generate new ideas and turn concepts into practical solutions
