Business Development Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

This is a full‑time Business Development Manager position within a fast‑growing food manufacturing business based in Bolton. You will work directly with the owner to drive growth, improve profitability and expand the company’s market reach across the UK and EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement opportunities for operational and commercial improvement, including new equipment, processes and market entry.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
• Generate new business by following up on leads, attending trade shows and promoting the brand.
• Research and deliver waste‑reduction and cost‑saving measures to boost profitability.

Required profile

• Background in food or beverage manufacturing or foodservice.
• Proven experience in business development, sales or a commercial role within the sector.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities with a diverse client base.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel for trade shows and international exhibitions.
