Business Development Manager (North)

About the role

Imperial Workforce, on behalf of Made for Trade, is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the launch of an innovative aluminium window system across the North of England and Scotland. Reporting to the Head of Sales and working closely with the Commercial Director, you will shape commercial strategy, influence product development and build lasting customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for the northern territory.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts.
• Build strong partnerships with fabricators, installers and trade customers.
• Cross‑sell complementary aluminium products and gather market intelligence.
• Collaborate on pricing, commercial strategy and market positioning.
• Represent Made for Trade at customer meetings, exhibitions and trade events.
• Maintain accurate sales activity reporting and contribute to growth forecasts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or technical sales.
• Background in glazing, fenestration, aluminium systems or broader construction products.
• Commercially minded with a track record of building long‑term customer relationships.
• Ability to travel across the North of England and occasionally into Scotland.
