Business Development Manager – South England (Remote/Field)

About the role

Our client, a leading supplier of sustainable packaging and tableware, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales across the Southern region of England. The role blends account management with new‑business development, supporting distributors, wholesalers and catering operators.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and develop existing customer accounts.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Manage pricing, margins and overall commercial performance.
• Deliver product training and provide customer support.
• Build relationships with owners, directors, buyers and sales teams.
• Collaborate with internal sales and operations teams.
• Provide market and competitor insights.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales or business‑development experience.
• Strong relationship‑building and negotiation abilities.
• Commercially minded with experience managing margins.
• Self‑motivated, organised and able to cover a large territory.
• Experience in foodservice, packaging, catering supplies or related sectors is advantageous.

Required skills

What we offer

• Basic salary £50,000‑£55,000 per year.
• Uncapped bonus (approximately 10% of basic salary).
