Business Development Manager – Steel Roofing & Cladding

About the role

This is a field‑sales position focused on selling a high‑quality range of steel roofing and cladding products and associated services. You will work primarily with main contractors and specialist roofing/cladding firms across the South region, delivering revenue targets based on your experience.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell steel roofing and cladding supplies, including roofing sheets, roof lights, guttering, flashings, insulated sheeting and fibre‑cement products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with main contractors and specialist roofing/cladding contractors.
• Achieve turnover targets set according to experience and market potential.
• Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure, ensuring accurate quoting and follow‑up.
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers on site.

Required profile

• Proven field‑sales experience in the roofing and cladding market.
• Demonstrated ability to sell to main contractors and specialist subcontractors.
• Technical mindset with strong computer literacy.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in an on‑site environment.

What we offer

• Salary £45,000 – £55,000 per annum plus an annual bonus of approximately £6,000.
