Business Development Manager – West Sussex

About the role

Reed is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to join its West Sussex team. You will be responsible for expanding the client base, shaping sales strategies, and driving revenue growth across new and existing markets.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify emerging markets and customer needs.
• Arrange and lead business meetings with prospective clients.
• Promote Reed’s products and services, aligning them with client objectives.
• Prepare sales contracts in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, revenue, invoices, and related documentation.
• Provide post‑sale support and gather trustworthy feedback.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with both new and existing customers.
• Mentor and develop new starters within the sales team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive or similar role.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and rapport‑building abilities.
• Effective time‑management and planning skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
