About the role
As our next Business Development Representative, you'll play a key role in building the UK's go‑to home improvement marketplace, sparking conversations that turn cold prospects into real opportunities for our account management team.
Key responsibilities
- Research and hunt potential leads across multiple channels, assessing fit for Checkatrade.
- Initiate contact via phone and email to uncover prospect needs and pain points.
- Communicate Checkatrade’s value proposition clearly to generate curiosity.
- Warm leads through early stages and hand them over to account management.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of conversations and leads in Salesforce.
- Collaborate with account management and other teams to share insights and improve conversion rates.
Required profile
- 0‑2 years’ experience in business development, lead generation or a customer‑facing role.
- Results‑driven with resilience to keep qualifying new opportunities.
- Strong communication skills to build rapport quickly.
- Proactive, organised pipeline management and willingness to learn Salesforce.
