Business Operations Manager / Senior Manager (German/French)

About the role

The Business Operations Manager / Senior Manager will help Whatnot scale its international markets and marketing engine. Working directly with the leadership team, you will lead cross‑functional initiatives, solve unstructured problems and turn data‑driven insights into actionable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed international requirements into scalable solutions for the UK, France, Germany and Canada.
• Conduct primary research to identify high‑impact opportunities across product, pricing and incentives.
• Own and track key market metrics such as buyer and seller funnels, growth, marketing spend and margin dynamics.
• Bring business‑side rigor to marketing capital allocation, deep‑dive into channel decisions and build nascent capabilities.
• Collaborate with Strategy Finance and Data teams to analyze margin levers, inform pricing and recommend growth investments.
• Develop tooling that serves as a single source of truth for progress against aggressive goals, resource allocation and blockers.
• Pressure‑test new products and capabilities with a focus on delivering value to users.

Required profile

• Fluent in German or French (spoken and written).
• Proven experience leading large, cross‑functional projects in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with senior leadership.
