Business Studies Teacher – Secondary School (Lancaster)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Business Studies Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster from September. The role is full‑time and temporary, offering the chance to work with KS3 and KS4 pupils in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons for KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus).
• Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
• Assess, record and report on student progress and attainment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching environment.
• Participate in and organise extracurricular activities such as outings and sporting events.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Recent, relevant experience teaching Business Studies at KS3 and KS4 levels.
• Strong classroom management skills and a reliable, committed attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, punctuality and patience when working with children.
