Buyer – Product Development & Supplier Management

About the role

DarcyBrook is recruiting a Buyer for a leading client in London. The role involves supporting new product development and requires a creative, motivated and organised individual. It is a hybrid position with at least three days per week in the office and includes a generous bonus scheme.

Key responsibilities

• Manage product lifecycle from sourcing to production.
• Collaborate with in‑house design teams on product concepts.
• Source and manage reliable suppliers across the Far East and Europe.
• Negotiate costs and ensure projects stay within budget.
• Create detailed product specifications.
• Coordinate activities across all departments.
• Oversee quality control and technical compliance to meet industry standards.

Required profile

• Graduate calibre or relevant higher education.
• Experience in buying or a similar environment.
• Passion for quality assurance and ethical sourcing from the UK, EU, Turkey and the Far East.
• Strong commercial acumen and team‑player attitude.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to develop product ranges across multiple categories.
• Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation capabilities.
