CAD Designer – Commercial Fit-Out & Storage Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our team in Chorley, focusing on commercial fit‑out and storage solutions. You will work on a variety of projects including racking systems, mezzanine floors and office fit‑outs for industrial and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings in AutoCAD from client briefs and project specifications.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to develop practical, commercially viable designs.
• Manage projects from concept through to manufacture, ensuring designs meet customer requirements and production capabilities.
• Liaise with production and operational teams to resolve technical queries and support successful project delivery.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and revise drawings based on client feedback, site surveys and design changes.

Required profile

• Design experience within the construction industry, preferably with office fit‑out, mezzanine or racking & shelving projects.
• Degree or relevant construction qualification is desirable.
• Confident, resilient and articulate with strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
• Technical understanding to interpret drawings and support production teams.

What we offer

• Salary £30,000 – £40,000 per year plus discretionary bonus.
