Cafe Back of House Team Member

About the role

Join our café’s Back of House team and help deliver the quality and consistency our customers love. You’ll prepare food, keep the kitchen spotless, and ensure every dish lives up to our menu’s promise.

Key responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations while maintaining daily records.
• Practice FIFO stock rotation to keep food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Adhere to all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook and serve food according to café standards.
• Maintain product availability and quality standards.
• Know the menu inside‑out and serve dishes as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and relay information to the Café Manager.
• Stay updated on business communications and new initiatives.

Required profile

• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• Comfortable working in a team.
• Great communicator with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Confident using initiative to improve ways of working.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
