Café Manager – Retail Hospitality

About the role

The Café Manager will lead the daily operations of Morrisons’ in‑store café in Halifax. You will ensure a welcoming environment, high‑quality food and beverage service, and a focus on customer satisfaction while managing a small team of colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of café service, including product availability and presentation.
• Schedule staff, manage absences, and conduct performance and talent conversations.
• Deliver training to build team capability and confidence.
• Monitor customer feedback and act promptly to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with other store managers to align café targets with overall store performance.
• Identify and develop talent within the café team.
• Maintain effective relationships with other operating departments.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a team in a fast‑paced retail or hospitality environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to share best practices.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
