Campus Experience & Security Supervisor

About the role

The Campus Experience & Security Supervisor is the primary point of contact for students, staff, visitors and contractors on the Bristol campus. You will ensure a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining safe and secure access to buildings and facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a professional, inclusive welcome and clear guidance to all campus users.
• Maintain a visible front‑of‑house presence that supports a positive campus environment.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, access control and visitor sign‑in, issuing passes in line with health‑and‑safety policies.
• Keep accurate records of visitors, keys and related security systems.
• Assist with emergency procedures, evacuations and routine safety checks.
• Identify and raise any facilities, safety or security concerns.
• Coordinate deliveries and support ID‑card services, including processing new requests and replacements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in front‑of‑house, reception, security or a customer‑facing role.
• Calm, approachable demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Excellent organisational ability and capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Good judgement, ability to work independently within established procedures.
• Understanding of health, safety and safeguarding in a public setting.
