About the role
Farmfoods is seeking a motivated Canteen Assistant to join the team at its distribution centre in Monkspath, Solihull. You will be responsible for preparing and serving hot and cold meals to staff, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare food items and cook meals according to menu specifications.
- Serve meals at the counter and manage food presentation.
- Receive deliveries, store items correctly, and replenish fridge stock.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen utensils, appliances, and work surfaces.
Required profile
- Ability to work under pressure without direct supervision.
- Effective communication and basic numeracy/literacy skills.
- Basic food hygiene qualification (desirable).
- Understanding of workplace health and safety.
