Care Assistant - Residential Care

About the role

Holdingham Grange, a residential care home with 64 rooms offering nursing and dementia care near Sleaford, Lincolnshire, is looking for a Care Assistant to join its bank team. The role is full time, 33 hours a week, on 12-hour shifts including a 1-hour unpaid break, at £13 per hour plus paid training.

Key responsibilities

• Support older adults to stay safe, comfortable and well cared for during the day
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Support with personal care and assist with mobility around the home
• Oversee medication and monitor health needs
• Support with meals, drinks and nutrition
• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Encourage engagement in activities and daily routines

Required profile

• Patience, a sense of humour and good listening skills
• Ability to think on your feet
• An enhanced DBS check is required
