Care & Family Paralegal – Luton (Hybrid)

About the role

Join a leading national law firm in Luton as a Care & Family Paralegal. Working hybrid, you’ll support solicitors on a varied caseload of care and family matters, gaining exposure to high‑quality legal work.

Key responsibilities

• Support solicitors with a busy caseload of care matters.
• Manage client enquiries, appointments and communications.
• Prepare legal documents, court applications and correspondence.
• Open and maintain case files, ensuring accurate compliance and conflict checks.
• Liaise with counsel, experts and external agencies to progress matters.
• Assist with trial preparation, court bundles and Legal Aid administration.
• Attend client meetings and court hearings, taking clear attendance notes.
• Maintain case management systems and provide general administrative support.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in childcare, care or family law.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficient IT skills, including use of legal case management systems.
• Experience with the Legal Aid Agency CCMS portal (advantageous, not essential).
