Careers Advisor – Specialist SEN School

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Careers Advisor to support pupils in a Pupil Referral/Pathways (PX) provision at a specialist SEN school in West Drayton. You will provide personalised guidance, employability training and post‑16 planning for young people with additional needs such as SEMH, autism and behavioural challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one careers advice and mentoring to PX students.
• Assist pupils with CV writing, interview preparation and employability skill development.
• Run workshops on career pathways, further education options and apprenticeships.
• Collaborate with local colleges, training providers and employers to create transition opportunities.
• Support students in planning their move into post‑16 education or employment.
• Maintain accurate records, progression plans and documentation for each learner.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Careers Advisor, mentor or youth support worker.
• Experience working with SEN, SEMH or PX/PRU students is desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Patient, resilient and proactive attitude.
• Passion for helping young people achieve positive outcomes.
