Carpenter Multi‑Trade Operative (Multitrader)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Multi‑Trade Operative to join our team on the newly awarded Dartford contract. You will deliver high‑quality carpentry, locksmithing and glazing services across occupied residential properties, ensuring safety, comfort and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform carpentry tasks including door hanging, skirting, architraves, kitchen fitting and flooring installation.
• Carry out multi‑trade repairs such as patch plastering, wall and floor tiling, basic plumbing and drainage, and painting & decorating.
• Execute locksmithing duties – lock installation, replacement and repair on domestic doors and communal entrances.
• Conduct glazing work – glass repairs, replacements, sealing and finishing to professional standards.
• Record all work in real time using the Axis mobile app and collaborate with supervisors, planners and admin teams.
• Complete risk assessments and adhere to Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Support apprentices and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours emergency call‑out rota as required.

Required profile

• Reliable and adaptable tradesperson with a solid carpentry background and well‑rounded multi‑trade abilities.
• Confident in performing locksmithing and glazing tasks.
• Clear communicator who takes pride in delivering resident‑focused, high‑quality workmanship.
• Committed to maintaining safe, secure and well‑presented homes.
