Cash Operations Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a hardworking, articulate individual to join our Cash Operations team. The role ensures effective cash management and accurate record‑keeping for funds moving in and out of the platform, protecting client money in line with FCA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate, instruct and process fund movements between customer accounts, internal bank accounts and external investment partners.
• Instruct cash movements on online banking systems and identify/apply incoming payments.
• Ensure all client‑money funds are processed and adequately protected.
• Support team performance to meet SLAs and KPIs through efficient workflow delivery.
• Provide service and answer queries for other AJ Bell teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 GCSEs (grades 9‑4) or equivalent, including Maths and English.
• Excellent numerical ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent IT skills with experience using Excel.
• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, sometimes unsupervised.
• Experience in financial services or a keen interest is desirable.
