About the role
Join a leading national loss adjusting organisation as a Casualty Claims Handler, working on specialist liability claims for public‑sector clients. You will manage your own caseload from initial report through to settlement, delivering a high‑quality service while supporting the growth of the team.
Key responsibilities
- Handle a variety of casualty and personal injury claims through to settlement.
- Verify policy cover and validity, logging all claims digitally.
- Investigate allocated claims, either from desk or with support from loss adjusters.
- Refer to field adjusters for site investigations when required.
- Gather evidence, documentation and determine appropriate actions for resolution.
- Make liability decisions and negotiate settlements where appropriate.
- Stay updated on technical changes in the industry and attend internal training.
Required profile
- Experience in liability/casualty claims handling within loss adjusting, insurance or legal sectors.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload through to settlement.
- Understanding of insurance policy wording and the insurance market.
- Knowledge of civil procedure rules and claims portals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong planning, organisational and IT abilities.
