Catering Assistant – Food Service Support

About the role

Join a forward‑thinking sports, leisure and hospitality organisation as a Catering Assistant. Working alongside an experienced Head Chef and a dedicated catering team, you will help deliver high‑quality food services across multiple venues and events.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and catering team in preparing and delivering food for various outlets.
• Assist with ingredient preparation, vegetable chopping, and dish assembly.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation throughout kitchen and preparation areas.
• Provide operational support during busy service periods and on matchdays.
• Ensure all activities comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, restaurant or food service (advantageous but not mandatory).
• Basic understanding of food hygiene, safety practices and kitchen procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a close‑knit team.
• Proactive, flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Full clean driving licence.
