CFO Advisory Lead – 9‑month Contract

About the role

Our client, a leading insurance organisation, is seeking a CFO Advisory Lead on a 9‑month contract. The role sits within the Finance division and reports to the Head of Finance Advisory, providing high‑level financial guidance to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial guidance to the Head of Finance Advisory and senior executives.
• Lead initiatives that improve financial transparency and control across the business.
• Develop frameworks and methodologies for non‑Sarbanes‑Oxley financial controls.
• Produce and review syndicate reporting, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, support forecasts and mitigate risks.
• Refresh accounting policies, resolve accounting issues, and present technical papers to the board and executives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial controls and reporting within the insurance sector.
• Familiarity with Lloyds and current technical accounting and reporting standards.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
• Understanding of financial regulations affecting the insurance industry.
• Prior consultancy experience, especially in CFO advisory, is preferred.
