Charge Nurse / Senior Sister (RGN) – Oxford

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Charge Nurse / Senior Sister (RGN) to join a well‑established nursing service in Oxford. Working closely with the Matron and multidisciplinary team, you will lead day‑to‑day clinical care for adults recovering from illness, injury or hospital admission.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff.
- Oversee medication management and ensure compliance with CQC standards.
- Coordinate care with GPs, therapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and safeguarding initiatives.
- Maintain a supportive environment for residents and staff.
Required profile
- Current NMC registration (RGN preferred).
- Minimum 3 years in a senior nursing role such as Clinical Lead or Deputy.
- At least 5 years of UK nursing experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Required skills
- Medication management.
- Clinical governance and quality improvement.
- Knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding and health‑care regulations.
What we offer
- £26–£28 per hour (enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays).
- Annual salary range £50,000–£58,000 per year.
- 6 weeks’ annual leave and pension scheme.

- Full‑time hours (minimum four days per week) with easy public‑transport access in Oxford.
