Chartered Legal Executive – Wills & Planning Supervision

About the role

We are seeking a Chartered Legal Executive to lead our Wills and Planning supervision function within a private‑client team. The role offers a balanced workload with no billable targets, allowing you to focus on quality and compliance while supporting clients with wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney.

Key responsibilities

• Review and ensure legal and technical accuracy of wills, trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Provide quality‑assurance feedback and advise on necessary changes to meet client objectives.
• Collaborate with solicitors, technical professionals and the wider estate‑planning team.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal processes.
• Support ad‑hoc client queries and contribute to service development.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, CILEX, STEP or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of estate planning and wills drafting.
• Experience with tax planning in the context of lifetime planning.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
