Checkout Team Leader

About the role

As a Checkout Team Leader you will drive the front‑end operations of a Morrisons store, ensuring smooth checkout processes, excellent customer service and efficient use of kiosks and car parks.

Key responsibilities

• Be visible on the shop floor, supporting colleagues, managing queues and using headsets to respond quickly.
• Lead a friendly, high‑performing team, fostering trust, recognition and a strong culture.
• Ensure daily processes, cash handling and legal obligations are followed on every shift.
• Analyse store reports and dashboards to identify improvements and resolve issues.
• Maintain a tidy department, handling put‑backs promptly to minimise waste.

• Strong relationship‑building skills with colleagues and customers.
• Enjoys coaching and developing a high‑performing team.
• Operational knowledge of front‑end service departments.
