Chief Finance Officer (CFO) – Flexible Contract in Manchester

About the role
We are looking for a senior finance professional to join The CFO Centre on a self‑employed contract basis, serving ambitious private businesses in the Manchester area. The role offers the freedom to build and manage your own client portfolio while benefiting from a supportive network of experienced CFOs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide part‑time CFO services to £2‑50 million private companies, helping owners with strategy, growth, acquisition and financial optimisation.
- Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with CEOs, MDs and entrepreneurs, delivering actionable financial insights and supporting their business objectives.
- Grow your own client portfolio, leveraging the Centre’s brand and resources to attract new engagements.
Required profile
- Qualified member of a UK chartered accounting institute (e.g., ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA).
- Proven experience as a CFO or Finance Director in mid‑sized businesses, with strong commercial finance and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build genuine, long‑lasting client relationships and work independently.
