Chief Financial Officer – Manufacturing Group

About the role

We are seeking a commercially astute Chief Financial Officer to join a private‑equity‑backed manufacturing business with approximately £30 m turnover and £5 m EBITDA. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the PE investors, you will own the finance function end‑to‑end and help drive the next phase of value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all finance activities including management reporting, cash management, FP&A, board reporting and investor relations.
• Drive operational efficiency and margin improvement across the business.
• Support strategic decision‑making and preparation for a future exit.
• Lead M&A activity, including due diligence, integration and post‑deal monitoring.
• Manage relationships with private‑equity investors, the board and senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong manufacturing or industrials experience.
• Proven experience in a PE‑backed environment, ideally at CFO or senior Finance Director level.
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‑on levels in an SME‑scale business.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including direct work with PE investors and boards.
• Track record of delivering commercial and operational improvements through finance.
• Full lifecycle M&A experience, including integration.
